Christiane works with individuals and groups. Students are given the chance to perform in a traditional master class setting with people watching them work.
In these master classes, students will be encouraged to think outside the box and explore beyond their comfort zone. The needs of the individual are met.
They can be coached on a technical level or delve into their storytelling abilities.
Christiane has said the best part of the sessons for her is when she gets to see the students suprise themselves and discover talents they may have never realize they possess!
Everyone present benefits from the lessons being given onstage. The entire group is part of the journey. They can identify the moments the performers step into the unknown, and the little moments of understanding become huge for everyone. Its exciting to watch.
Christiane also works with school groups on shows they are currently rehearsing. She helps each student to understand that their role is important and that whether you speak or not, you always have influence of those around you.
Just like in life, you are part of the conversation if you are in the room, especially if you do not say anything. They learn to recognize impulses and create story that supports the text being performed.
In all scenarios the students are reminded the importance of supporting one another to make each other better. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself on display and wanting everyone to succeed individually makes the whole better collectively.
Thatís a little of what happens in one of Christiane's classes. Laughter, tears, a lot of unexpected seeds get planted and hopefully sprout new ideas that students can take with them.
"We loved having Christiane at Play the Part in Seattle. She is an excellent teacher and wonderful to spend time with. She made sure everyone was involved in class, even those just auditing. Highly recommend!" - Christie from 'Play The Part'
